Car park season tickets come down in price

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is keen to ensure that car park users do not miss out on the opportunity to save money following the recent confirmation that the price of annual season tickets for Royal Tunbridge Wells is going down.

Season tickets are available for almost all the town centre’s car parks and they are frequently a convenient and cheaper way to pay for parking. A motorist who parks in the town every day could make a saving of up to £500 or possibly more, by purchasing an annual season ticket. The season ticket is cheaper than the standard daily parking ticket which will be important to motorists who need to find ways to keep the costs of their journey down.

As well as saving money the season ticket option is a great choice for car sharers. From April 2012 up to three vehicles can be registered on a ticket – share the journey and share the cost.

Being a season ticket holder also lifts the worry for the car park user of finding the right change for the machine every day and because the ticket offers 24/7 parking it is ideal for a shopping trip to town at the weekend or staying after work to go to the theatre.

An annual car park season ticket costs between £810 – £850 and can be purchased from the Gateway in the town centre or by post from the council. Tickets should be purchased by 31 May to benefit from the full savings. Detailed information and an application form is available to download from the council’s website at
